Konnor Pilkington inks minor league deal with Tigers
by David Leisering | Mon, Feb 9th 8:15pm EST
Konnor Pilkington has signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers. The deal is worth up to $1.2 million if he makes it to the majors and also includes an invitation to spring training. (Evan Petzold on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Pilkington elected for free agency instead of reporting to Triple-A when he was designated for assignment by the Nationals a couple of weeks ago. The lefthander pitched to a 4.45 ERA in 28.1 innings with Washington last season and has a career ERA of 3.97 in 88.1 innings at the big league level. Pilkington will likely begin the year with Triple-A Toledo but could see some innings in Detroit at some point.
