Josh Hader has been throwing lightly on flat ground, and the Houston Astros expect to have a better sense of his readiness for the season by the middle of the week. (Buster Olney on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Hader was shut down in mid-August last season with a left shoulder capsule sprain. Astros GM Dana Brown said in mid-November that Hader had thrown off a mound three times, but it appears he may have experienced a setback during the offseason, as he has recently been limited to light throwing on flat ground. If Hader opens the season on the injured list, Bryan Abreu would likely handle save chances for Houston.
