Andrew Chafin inks minor league deal with Twins

Andrew Chafin has signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins. The deal includes an invitation to major league camp. (Jon Heyman on X)

The well-traveled Chafin joins his ninth major league team in what will be his 13th season in the big leagues. The lefthander pitched for the Nationals and Angels last season and posted a 2.41 ERA in 33.2 innings. Over his career, Chafin has an ERA of 3.35 with a 1.28 WHIP across 643 appearances. Given his experience and success at the big league level, Chafin will likely break camp in Minnesota and provide the Twins with a veteran presence in their bullpen.
