Brandon Woodruff (lat) to throw live batting practice Monday

by David Leisering | Brewers Correspondent | Mon, Feb 23rd 2:19pm EST

Brandon Woodruff (lat) is scheduled to throw live batting practice on Monday as he begins to ramp up. Woodruff is expected to throw a couple more sessions before seeing his first Cactus League action this spring. (Todd Rosiak on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Woodruff missed all of the 2024 season and then had the start of the 2025 campaign delayed until early July with multiple injuries during rehab. He went 7-2 with a 3.20 ERA and 83 strikeouts in 64.2 innings over 12 starts with the Brewers a year ago before his season ended early with a right lat strain. The Brewers are taking it easy with their ace during spring and it will likely before another week or two before he sees live game action. However, barring any setbacks, it does appear that he is on track to be ready for Opening Day.
