Chris Sale agrees to one-year, $27 million extension

Chris Sale has agreed to a one-year, $27 million contract extension with the Atlanta Braves. The deal also includes a $30 million club option for 2028. (Jeff Passan on X)
Fantasy Impact:
The veteran lefty's contract was set to expire at the end of the 2026 season, but will now remain in Atlanta for at least one additional year. He should remain excellent as always as long as he avoids injury, as he sported a 2.58 ERA and 11.82 K/9 last year in his age-36 season.
