Biggest Risers

Jason Adam (RP – SDP) | Undrafted

Jason Adam returned from a ruptured quad injury and picked up right where he left off. He’s already made three appearances, spanning 1.2 innings, while recording one save and one hold. He hasn’t picked up a strikeout yet, but they’ll come soon enough.

Juan Morillo (RP – ARI)| Undrafted

Juan Morillo has been getting tons of work for the Diamondbacks. He’s made nine appearances over eight innings, picking up six holds and recording seven strikeouts, with a 3.38 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP. He still has room to improve, as his 71st percentile whiff rate has only translated to a 44th percentile strikeout rate.

Biggest Fallers

David Bednar (RP – NYY) | -12

David Bednar has allowed an earned run in four of his seven outings this year. He has given up 11 hits and four walks in just 6.2 innings. He’s struggled early in past seasons before turning it around, so it isn’t hopeless.

Bryan Abreu (RP – HOU) | -19

Bryan Abreu‘s downfall continues. He delivered consistent production the past three seasons, but has really struggled with the walks this year. He started the season with six straight appearances allowing an earned run. While there is plenty of time for him to turn it around, there are several viable relievers available.
