Giancarlo Stanton dealing with persistent elbow issues

by Bruno Mulé | Yankees Correspondent | Thu, Feb 26th 9:14am EST

Stanton has dealt with tennis elbow in both arms since 2024. He said Wednesday that an entire offseason of rest has not resolved the problem. "I can't open a bag of chips... a bag of anything," Stanton said. (Randy Miller)

Fantasy Impact:

He sat out New York's first 70 games last season while recovering from the elbow issues but still hit 24 home runs during the regular season, his 14th major-league campaign with at least 20 long balls. Stanton plans to play a full 2026 season and is scheduled to make his spring debut on March 3. The Yankees will provide him with frequent rest days throughout the year in an effort to maintain his health and production.
