Porter Hodge (elbow) to open season on IL

Cubs’ manager Craig Counsell told reporters Porter Hodge will begin the season on the injured list with a right elbow flexor strain. (Bruce Levine on Twitter)

Hodge remains without a clear timetable to return. He was expected to open the season in a middle relief role in the Cubs bullpen.
