Otanez allowed four earned runs on four hits and one walk across 2.1 innings over three Cactus League appearances. Texas optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday. (Texas Rangers PR)

He will begin the season working as a high-leverage reliever at Round Rock. The spring performance removed him from consideration for the Rangers' Opening Day bullpen.
