Adams (elbow) allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks across 2.2 innings over his first three Grapefruit League appearances. Elbow soreness surfaced on Friday. (Matthew Leach)

Follow-up tests showed no structural damage but confirmed right elbow inflammation. Minnesota announced the diagnosis on Sunday. Adams will not resume throwing activities until next weekend at the earliest.
