Pauley (forearm) is projected to serve as Miami's primary third baseman if healthy. Right forearm tightness has complicated his spring preparation, with the organization deliberately rebuilding his throwing capacity. (Christina De Nicola)
Fantasy Impact:
Monday brought five innings of defensive work in a backfields game without throwing involved. Manager Clayton McCullough said Tuesday that Pauley will continue being restricted to designated hitter assignments in Grapefruit League games "for a while." Full clearance for unrestricted game action awaits completion of his throwing progression.
