This seems like it has been a long time coming for Cavalli, as the 27-year-old righty has battled his way to the bigs around injuries and struggles since being selected in the first round of the 2020 draft. Cavalli finally became a regular piece of the Nationals' rotation over the final two months of last season, posting a 4.25 ERA over 10 starts down the stretch. The Nationals will be counting on him as an anchor of the staff in 2026.
