Giants right-hander Hayden Birdsong has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 forearm sprain/UCL sprain and is weighing his treatment options. (Alex Pavlovic on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Birdsong had been seeking a second opinon on his ailing elbow, and the diagnosis is not great. Season-ending elbow surgery is certainly a possibility at this point, or perhaps a rehab plan can be mapped out. Either way, it appears Birdsong won't be available to the Giants for the foreseeable future.
