The White Sox selected Alberto in the Rule 5 draft from the Rays in December, meaning the club will have to offer him back to Tampa Bay in exchange for $50K if he clears waivers. The 24-year-old posted a tidy 2.59 ERA across 48 2/3 innings of work between Single-A and High-A for the Rays in 2025.
