Pedro Avila won't make Opening Day roster

Guardians reliever Pedro Avila has been informed he will not make the Opening Day roster, according to manager Stephen Vogt. (Tim Stebbins on Twitter)

Avila is returning from a one-year stint in Japan, where he pitched to a 4.04 ERA with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. The 29-year-old owns a 3.51 ERA across 72 career outings in the big leagues.
