Alzolay, the Cubs' closer in 2023, made just 18 outings in the 2024 season before undergoing Tommy John surgery that cost him the entire 2025 season. The 31-year-old owns a 4.04 ERA across 121 outings (27 starts) across parts of six big league seasons.
