Simeon Woods Richardson locks up Twins rotation spot

Woods Richardson posted a 3.52 ERA with an 11.3 K/9 over his final six starts last season, and despite a 5.85 ERA and 20 hits allowed across 20 spring innings — including five runs in his first outing and nine hits Friday — he showed enough to hold his place in the rotation. Friday's start against Toronto went five innings with two runs, three strikeouts and one walk. (Bobby Nightengale)
