Braxton Garrett optioned to Triple-A

by Brenton Kemp | Marlins Correspondent | Sat, Mar 21st 5:17pm EDT

The Marlins have optioned left-hander Braxton Garrett to Triple-A Jacksonville. (Miami Marlins on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The demotion to Triple-A is likely only temporary for Garrett, who logged just four spring innings after returning from Tommy John surgery that cost him all but seven starts in 2024 as well as the entire 2025 campaign. The 28-year-old southpaw had a nice run from 2022-2023 and owns a 4.03 ERA in 65 MLB outings (66 starts) and should find himself in the starting rotation at some point early in the season.
