Victor Vodnik in line to close for Rockies in 2026

Vodnik posted a 3.02 ERA with 10 saves and a 49:26 K:BB across 50.2 innings for Colorado last season. He allowed eight runs on 11 hits with a 5:5 K:BB over 4.2 Cactus League innings this spring before recording a save Monday by striking out the only batter he faced against the Tigers. Fantasy Impact:
Manager Warren Schaeffer indicated after Monday's game that Vodnik could be first in line for closing duties, saying "we're gonna see a lot of that this year late in the game." Juan Mejia is also in the mix as a late-inning option, while Seth Halvorsen is not expected to make the Opening Day roster.
