Trei Cruz optioned to Triple-A Toledo

Cruz slashed .270/.341/.324 with two stolen bases during Grapefruit League action but has yet to make his major-league debut. The Tigers optioned him to Triple-A Toledo Tuesday. (Ari Alexander)

The Tigers announced IF Kevin McGonigle made the Tigers opening day roster.

OF Trei Cruz is being optioned, per league source. Cruz has impressed after his position switch to OF and is expected to be a big part of their mix this season.
