Orlando Arcia left off Twins' Opening Day roster

Orlando Arcia has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Minnesota Twins. (Minnesota Twins on X)

Fantasy Impact:

The veteran shortstop had a solid spring with Minnesota as he batted .273 with a home run and seven RBI in 12 games. The most eye-opening stat, however, was that he struck out just once in 36 plate appearances. Still only 31 years old, Arcia has played 1,013 career major league games across 10 seasons. An All-Star in 2023 with the Braves, Arcia is a lifetime .239 hitter but struggled mightily last season, posting just a .203 average with three homers between Atlanta and Colorado. Arcia will open the year at Triple-A St. Paul, but would be a likely call-up should one of the youngsters on the infield gets injured or struggles at the outset.
