Cam Schlittler flirts with perfection in win over Giants
by Chris Schommer | Yankees Correspondent | Sat, Mar 28th 9:52am EDT
Cam Schlittler allowed zero earned runs on one hit and zero walks while striking out eight over 5 1/3 innings in Friday’s 3-0 win over the Giants.
Fantasy Impact:
Schlittler turned in an elite performance in his first start of the 2026 season, holding the San Francisco lineup to an .059 batting average in the win. The right-hander will be relied on near the top of the rotation early in the season for manager Aaron Boone with both Gerrit Cole (elbow) and Carlos Rodon (elbow) continuing rehab stints after posting a strong 1.22 WHIP and 2.94 ERA over 14 appearances (4-3, 84 strikeouts) for the Yankees in 2025.
