Joey Cantillo battles shaky command in short start

Joey Cantillo allowed two earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five over 3.2 innings in Saturday's 6-5 win in 10 innings over the Mariners.

Cantillo labored through traffic but avoided major damage before handing things off to the bullpen. He posted a respectable five strikeouts in the short outing but will need to be more efficient on the mound, an issue that has followed his throughout his career. After the win, Cantillo now has a 4.91 ERA and 1.91 WHIP. His next start is set for Friday against the Cubs.
