Kazuma Okamoto slugs first MLB homer Sunday

by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Mon, Mar 30th 7:55am EDT

Blue Jays third baseman Kazuma Okamoto hit his first home run in the big leagues Sunday against the Athletics.

Fantasy Impact:

Okamoto padded a 3-0 Blue Jays lead with an opposite-field solo home run in the fourth innings as part of an eventual 5-2 win over the Athletics on Sunday. The 29-year-old hit 30 home runs or more in six consecutive seasons in his native Japan, maxing out with 41 in the 2023 campaign. He should provide power and RBIs to fantasy managers hitting out of the five-hole in a formidable Blue Jays lineup.
