Tomoyuki Sugano settles for no-decision in Rockies' debut
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Mon, Mar 30th 11:29pm EDT
Tomoyuki Sugano was one out shy of qualifying for a victory on Monday as he went 4.2 innings and allowed a run on two hits in the Rockies' 14-5 victory over Toronto. The righthander walked two and struck out four.
Fantasy Impact:
Sugano made 30 starts for the Orioles in his debut season in the majors last year before signing as a free agent with Colorado in February. The 36-year-old righthander allowed only a one-out single to Jesus Sanchez in the first and a two-out solo home run to George Springer in the third. Don't go rushing to the waiver wire - Sugano allowed a league-leading 33 home runs last season and will make a number of starts at Coors Field. But, it was a solid debut and he's tentatively slated to take the bump again at home against the Phillies on Sunday.
