Ryan Weathers labors early as Yankees outslug Marlins

by Chris Schommer | Yankees Correspondent | Sun, Apr 5th 9:54am EDT

Ryan Weathers allowed three earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four over 3 2/3 innings in Saturday's win over the Marlins.

Fantasy Impact:

Weathers fought command issues in his second start of the season, allowing a .303 batting average while posting a 1.33 K/BB ratio in the abbreviated outing. The left-hander has flashed impactful swing-and-miss stuff despite control issues to begin the season as part of a Yankees rotation awaiting the returns of Gerrit Cole (elbow) and Carlos Rodon (elbow) for manager Aaron Boone, posting a 4.50 ERA and 1.88 WHIP to go along with a 2.20 K/BB ratio through two starts.
