Freddy Peralta exits in fifth

Peralta is 1-0 with a 4.80 ERA through three starts and carried a shutout into the fifth inning Tuesday against Arizona, striking out Jorge Barrosa and Ketel Marte before a single, a walk, and a hit batter loaded the bases. Huascar Brazoban came on and struck out Adrian Del Castillo on his fifth pitch, only for the call to be overturned by the automated ball-strike system for being inside. Del Castillo singled on the next pitch and Nolan Arenado followed with a double.
