by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sat, Apr 11th 12:25am EDT
Tomoyuki Sugano pitched six innings on Friday and allowed two runs on four hits, did not walk a batter, and struck out three as the Rockies dropped a 5-2 decision to the Padres.
Fantasy Impact:
Sugano (1-0) made two mistakes on the night as the righthander allowed solo home runs to Gavin Sheets and Luis Campusano in the span of three batters in the bottom of the fifth. Sugano needed only 81 pitches to get through six innings and he now sports a 12:3 K:BB ratio through 16.2 innings. He will take a 2.16 ERA and a 0.78 WHIP into his next start at Houston next week.
