Marcell Ozuna goes hitless again Saturday
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sat, Apr 11th 10:25pm EDT
Marcell Ozuna went 0-for-4 with a walk on Saturday as the Pirates defeated the Cubs, 4-3, in 11 innings.
Fantasy Impact:
Ozuna was signed by the Pirates in February and was expected to provide a power boost to the middle of the Pittsburgh lineup. However, the designated hitter is hitting .051 (2-for-39) on the season with two singles and no runs batted in. Among qualified hitters, Ozuna has the worst batting average in the majors with Seattle's Josh Naylor the next closest at .113. The veteran slugger has been an extremely streaky hitter during his career so he could turn things around at any moment. However, Ozuna has shown no signs of getting going and he has already started to lose his grip on an everyday role.
