Jacob deGrom strikes out nine for first win of season

DeGrom has a 2.87 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts across 15.2 innings through three starts. He had dealt with right knee discomfort after his previous outing but allowed just a leadoff homer to Shohei Ohtani while striking out nine over six innings Sunday against Los Angeles.
