Jack Leiter allows five runs after strong two-start stretch

Leiter had issued just two walks across 11 innings over his first two starts, posting a 17:2 K:BB in the process, and lines up next for a road start against the Athletics. Texas gave him a 1-0 lead Saturday before Shohei Ohtani led off the bottom of the first with a home run and Teoscar Hernandez followed five batters later with a three-run shot, leaving the Rangers with a deficit they never erased.
