Freddy Peralta strikes out six in longest start of season

Peralta has a 3.86 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 25:8 K:BB across 21 innings and has fanned at least five batters in each of his four appearances this season. He lines up to face the Cubs next weekend after turning in his longest outing of the year Sunday against Oakland, allowing a Nick Kurtz homer in the third along with one other extra-base hit.

Peralta finished with six strikeouts across six innings, allowing one run on four hits and three walks in the loss.
