Jack Anderson strikes out side in MLB debut

by Bruno Mulé | Red Sox Correspondent | Wed, Apr 15th 9:33am EDT

Anderson posted a 3.72 ERA with nine strikeouts across 9.2 innings in two Triple-A starts before being called up from Worcester on Tuesday after Garrett Crochet's short outing Monday stretched Boston's pitching staff thin. He entered after Sonny Gray's early exit and struck out the side immediately upon taking the mound.

Fantasy Impact:

The only run Anderson allowed came on a solo homer by Byron Buxton in the sixth inning. He finished with four strikeouts across three innings in his major-league debut.
