Braxton Ashcraft strikes out seven in no-decision Thursday

Braxton Ashcraft struck out seven in 5.2 innings on Thursday, settling for a no-decision in the Pirates' 8-7 loss to the Nationals in 10 innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Ashcraft allowed five runs - two earned - on five hits and two walks in his outing. The righthander allowed three hits and a walk through four scoreless innings, but ran into trouble in the fifth as he allowed four runs - three of which were unearned on two costly Pittsburgh errors. Ashcraft is now 1-1 with a 2.38 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP through four starts this season. He ranks sixth in the National League with 27 strikeouts - to just seven walks - in 22.2 innings. He's lined up to pitch in Texas against the Rangers on Wednesday in his next start.
