by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Fri, Apr 17th 3:24am EDT
Bryan Baker allowed no earned runs on no hits and one walk on 20 pitches to record the save in Thursday’s 5-3 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Fantasy Impact:
Baker surrendered a leadoff hit to Andrew Benintendi in the ninth but quickly settled in, recording three straight outs to secure his fourth save of the season. While the Tampa Bay Rays continue to deploy a closer-by-committee approach, Baker has emerged as the favorite for ninth-inning duties. He leads the team with four saves and owns a 3.68 ERA and 0.97 WHIP on the year.
