Myles Straw hits first homer of the season Friday versus D-backs

by Brenton Kemp | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sat, Apr 18th 10:15am EDT

Blue Jays outfielder Myles Straw hit his first home run of the season during Friday's 6-3 loss to the D-backs.

Fantasy Impact:

Straw replaced an injured Daulton Varsho early in Friday's game and went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and an additional run scored in his three trips to the plate. At-bats have been few and far between for the veteran for the Blue Jays this season, but Straw has still managed to go 8-for-20 (.400) with a double, a homer, and a walk with just two strikeouts across 21 trips to the plate. He could see some additional starts if Varsho misses time moving forward.
