TJ Rumfield hits third home run of season Monday
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Tue, Apr 21st 12:51am EDT
TJ Rumfield went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Monday as the Rockies lost to the Dodgers, 12-3.
Fantasy Impact:
Rumfield was expected to have the day off, but took over for Tyler Freeman, who was battling an illness, in the bottom of the first inning. The rookie took Dodgers' reliever, Edgardo Henriquez, deep for his third home run of the year in the bottom of the eighth inning with the game well in hand at that point. After hitting .444 (8-for-18) in five March contests, Rumfield is batting only .197 (12-for-61) with two home runs and eight RBI in 18 April appearances. Overall, he's slashing .253/.310/.405 with three home runs and 11 runs batted in to start his rookie campaign.
