Michael Soroka pitches well again Thursday in no-decision

by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Fri, Apr 24th 7:48am EDT

Michael Soroka allowed one run on seven hits in five innings on Thursday, but settled for a no-decision in the Diamondbacks' 4-1 loss to the White Sox.

Fantasy Impact:

Soroka walked one and struck out six and now ranks fifth in the National League with 34 punchouts in 27.2 innings. He threw a season-high 101 pitches on Thursday, allowing a season-high seven hits in five innings, which tied his shortest outing of the season. It wasn't Soroka's best start of the year, but it was still the fourth time in five starts that he allowed two runs or fewer. The righthander is 4-0 with a 2.60 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP and is one of the best stories of the young season. He's projected to face the Brewers on Thursday and, if he is still available in your league, please grab him. He should be rostered in all formats at this point.
