Ildemaro Vargas went 1-for-4 on Thursday, extending his hitting streak to 18 games in the Diamondbacks' 4-1 loss to the White Sox.
Fantasy Impact:
Vargas has now hit safely in all 18 games this season and has a hit in 21 consecutive contests dating back to last season. He extended his streak with a two-out single in the fourth inning on Thursday. The veteran infielder is batting .357 (25-for-70) with five home runs and 16 runs batted in on the season. He's still available in roughly three quarters of fantasy leagues and, while his track record doesn't make him a must own player, it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing to roster him while he's swinging the bat like this.
