Drew Rasmussen delivers quality start Friday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Sat, Apr 25th 3:42am EDT

Drew Rasmussen allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out six batters to earn the win on Friday against the Minnesota Twins.

Fantasy Impact:

After his worst start of the season last Saturday, when he allowed four earned runs across 3.2 innings, Rasmussen bounced back in a big way on Friday. He allowed just one earned run, which he has done in four of his five starts this season, and did so on a season-high 92 pitches, the first time he has reached the 90-pitch mark this year. Rasmussen has been one of the top pitchers in MLB this season, posting a 0.74 WHIP that ranks fifth among all starters. He will look to deliver his second straight quality start on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians.
