Carlos Cortes went 2-for-4 in Friday’s 8-1 win over the Rangers with two home runs, two runs scored, and four RBI.

Cortes continues a torrid stretch at the plate, recording hits in each of his last five games. The outfielder continues to flash an explosive bat when inserted in the Athletics lineup for manager Mark Kotsay, batting .339 with four home runs, 11 RBI, and eight runs scored across 20 games.
