Anthony Gose signs minor league deal with Royals

by David Leisering | Tue, Apr 28th 2:12pm EDT

LHP Anthony Gose has signed a minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals. The 35-year-old lefthander will be assigned to Triple-A Omaha. (MLB Trade Rumors on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Gose turned to being a full-time pitcher back in 2017 after spending a number of years as a top outfielder prospect. As a pitcher, Gose has pitched in 31 career games at the big league level - all with Cleveland - and is 3-0 with a 4.78 ERA in a 41:17 K:BB ratio across 32 innings. He last pitched with the Guardians in 2024, allowing five runs on nine hits in 4.1 innings. Gose typically throws in the mid- to upper-90s, but command has been an issue in the past. He'll report to Triple-A Omaha and could eventually see time in Kansas City as the Royals' bullpen ranks 29th in ERA.
