by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Tue, Apr 28th 11:17pm EDT

Kyle Freeland suffered the loss on Tuesday after allowing four runs on five hits over five innings in his return from the injured list. The Reds defeated the Rockies, 7-2.

Fantasy Impact:

The lefthander walked one and struck out four while throwing 79 pitches in his first start since April 7. It was the first time Freeland allowed more than two runs in any start this year. Three of the four runs he gave up came in the first inning, during which he served up just the second home run this season when Spencer Steer got him for a two-run shot. Freeland will take a 1-2 record with a 3.46 ERA into his next start which will be a tough home matchup against the Braves on Sunday.
