Andrew Abbott hurls quality start in win over Rockies Thursday
by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Thu, Apr 30th 11:37pm EDT
Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott pitched six innings of two-run ball while earning the win in a 6-4 victory over the visiting Rockies on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact:
Abbott's outing on Thursday was of the bounce-back variety, as he limited the Rockies to two earned runs on five hits and two walks in his six innings of work. He struck out five. The southpaw had surrendered 15 earned runs across 11 2/3 innings over his last three starts, so Thursday's outing was just what the doctor ordered. He will look to build on this start in a key road tilt against the Cubs in his next outing on Tuesday.
