Bryan Reynolds homers, triples in Friday victory

by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sat, May 2nd 9:21am EDT

Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a triple and a solo home run as the Pirates hammered the Reds, 9-1, on Friday. Reynolds scored twice and drove in a pair in the victory.

Fantasy Impact:

Reynolds set the tone for the Pirates' offense in the bottom of the first when he launched a solo home run off of Reds' starter, Brady Singer. He followed that with an RBI triple in the third, plating Henry Davis, and then came in to score on an RBI single from Ryan O'Hearn. After a quiet start, Reynolds has three multi-hit efforts in his last four games and is batting .400 (6-for-15) with five runs scored, two doubles, a triple, a home run, and four RBI during that stretch. Overall, he's up to .254 with five home runs and 21 RBI in 33 games this season.
