Henry Davis goes deep twice in Friday win over Reds

Henry Davis went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three runs scored, and three runs batted in, lifting the Pirates to a 9-1 victory over Cincinnati on Friday.

There was a Henry Davis sighting in Pittsburgh on Friday. The former No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft entered Friday's game with just 10 hits and no home runs in his first 25 games of the year before teeing off on Reds' pitching. He belted a solo home run off of Brady Singer in the fourth and then hit a two-run blast off of Zach Maxwell in the fifth for his second career two-homer game. Entering Friday's contest, Davis had just two hits in his previous 30 at bats (.067) and was hitting just .154 overall. After Friday's game, Davis is now hitting .178 on the year with a .582 OPS.
