Fantasy Impact:

Ekness ranks 30th on MLB Pipeline's list of Miami's top 30 prospects and was a 12th round pick by the Marlins in the 2023 MLB Draft. Ekness has appeared in nine games for Jacksonville this season, pitching to a 5.68 ERA in 12.2 innings. Miami, however, is likely intrigued by his 35.6% strikeout rate as he brings an upper-90s fastball and a mid-80s sweeper to the majors. He has struck out 183 batters in 142 career innings in the minors and projects to be a high-leverage arm for the Marlins' bullpen. He'll be available for Saturday's game against the Phillies and will make his major league debut whenever he gets into a game.
