Cade Gibson has been optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville by the Miami Marlins. Josh Ekness had his contract selected by Miami in a corresponding move. (Barry Jackson on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Gibson made his season debut on Friday against the Phillies and allowed four runs on five hits in an inning-and two-thirds in a 6-5 loss. The lefthander appeared in 44 games for the Marlins in 2025 and posted a 2.63 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 54.2 innings. It's likely Gibson will join the Miami bullpen again at some point this season.
