Bryan Baker recorded the final out of Monday’s 5-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays, securing his ninth save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Baker entered the game with runners on the corners and Kazuma Okamoto at the plate. He needed just two pitches to induce a flyout to right field, ending the game. Baker is tied for the American League lead with nine saves and has been excellent to start the season, holding opponents to a .180 AVG while posting a 2.63 ERA and 0.88 WHIP. After throwing only two pitches on Monday, he should be available for Tuesday’s contest.
