Eduardo Rodriguez throws seven-inning gem Tuesday
by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Wed, May 6th 9:59am EDT
Eduardo Rodriguez tossed seven scoreless innings on Tuesday, allowing only two hits and three walks while striking out seven, as the Diamondbacks blanked the Pirates, 9-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Rodriguez was in complete control on Tuesday as he improved to 3-0 on the season. He did not allow a runner past second base in his seven scoreless innings and only allowed multiple baserunners once - on back-to-back walks in the second. Rodriguez has been a disappointment since arriving in the desert prior to the 2024 season, but he has seemingly returned to form in his third year with the Diamondbacks. The lefthander is 3-0 with a 2.50 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP through seven starts, though he has a less than average 29:19 K:BB ratio in 39.2 innings. He's scheduled to take on the Mets on Sunday.
